Aurora on blue alert as TD Crising brings heavy rains

Aurora province is on blue alert status due to the effects of Tropical Depression Crising, which battered the northern and central parts of the province.

The Aurora Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) activated its Emergency Operations Center and placed the province under full-scale preparedness.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 remains in effect over several northern and central municipalities, bringing cloudy weather and frequent rain.

Classes were suspended in multiple towns, with kindergarten classes specifically suspended in accordance with Department of Education guidelines.

The Philippine Coast Guard halted all motorized banca operations and suspended fishing activities due to inclement weather and rough seas.

The provincial government has prepositioned 25,000 family food packs and other relief goods, and deployed P2 million worth of medical supplies and health emergency teams.
