Amihan, ITCZ to bring rains over Northern Luzon, Mindanao

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will continue to affect extreme Northern Luzon, bringing cloudy skies and rains, while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will persist in causing scattered rains and thunderstorms over Mindanao.

Batanes, Cagayan, and Apayao may experience cloudy skies with rains due to the Amihan, with moderate to at times heavy rainfall posing a risk of flash floods or landslides.

The Caraga and Davao Region will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Localized thunderstorms are expected to cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Residents in areas experiencing severe thunderstorms are warned of possible flash floods or landslides.

Extreme Northern Luzon will face strong wind conditions and rough coastal water conditions, while the rest of Northern Luzon may encounter moderate to strong wind conditions and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.
