Alice Guo completes medical exams for transfer to Correctional Institution for Women

Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo has completed her medical and laboratory examinations for her transfer to the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City.

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology confirmed that these procedures are standard protocol before inmates are turned over to the Bureau of Corrections.

Guo, along with co-accused Jaimieelyn Cruz and Rachelle Joan Carreon, were convicted of qualified human trafficking by the Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 167 on November 20, 2025.

The conviction is related to unlawful operations uncovered at a Philippine offshore gaming operator hub in Bamban, which was linked to trafficking and other illegal activities.

She was sentenced to life imprisonment, ordered to pay multi-million-peso fines, and had the POGO-linked property forfeited to the government.

Guo was denied her motion to remain at the Pasig City Jail and will begin serving her sentence at the CIW, where high-risk female inmates are detained.

Upon arrival at the CIW, she will undergo quarantine, further medical checks, security assessment, and inmate classification procedures.
