NBI flags signature mismatch in Alice Guo's affidavit

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has flagged a signature mismatch between former Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo's counter-affidavit and her attendance sheet during a recent Senate hearing.

An NBI Questioned Document Division expert stated that the signatures on the counter-affidavit were not written by the same person, based on a scientific comparative examination.

Guo previously claimed she signed the final page of her counter-affidavit before leaving the Philippines in late July, although it was notarized on August 14.

Her secretary, Cath Salazar, testified that Guo instructed her to take a pre-signed page and attach it to the counter-affidavit after Guo had already fled the country.

The lawyer who notarized the document, Elmer Galicia, previously insisted that he personally saw Guo at the time of notarization, which is required by law.

However, Guo's recent arrest in Indonesia earlier this month serves as proof that she was not present during the notarization.

Senator Risa Hontiveros stated, "Guo Hua Ping is a professional scam artist. Her entire identity is built on lies."
