Alice Guo transferred to Senate for POGO probe

Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo was transferred to the Senate on Monday morning under heavy security, including handcuffs and a bulletproof vest.

She departed from the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame around 8:35 a.m. on a white coaster bus, escorted by the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team and Highway Patrol Group personnel.

Guo arrived at the Senate building in Pasay City shortly after and was immediately taken to a holding room.

The transfer was in compliance with a court order granting the Senate's request for her appearance at the investigation into illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) operations.

She had previously evaded her appearance in the legislative inquiry since May 22.
