Alas Pilipinas concludes European training camp for World Championship

Alas Pilipinas, the Philippine men's national volleyball team, underwent an intense European training camp to prepare for the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship they are hosting next month.

The team trained in Morocco, Romania, and Portugal, facing opponents who were significantly taller than them.

Despite the height disadvantage, playmaker Joshua Retamar expressed pride in the team's ability to compete and match the skills of their taller European counterparts.

Retamar, a veteran who was part of the 2019 SEA Games silver medal-winning team, aims to bring his experience and fighting spirit to the World Championship.

He highlighted the team's realization that their smaller stature can be overcome by skill and determination, a crucial lesson learned from the training camp.
