Villegas loses decision to home fighter, cops SEA Games boxing silver
Filipina Olympian Aira Villegas secured a silver medal in the women's 50 kg boxing event at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games after losing a unanimous-decision to Thailand's Chuthamat Raksat.
The bout took place at the Chulalongkorn University Sports Center in Bangkok, where all five judges scored the match in favor of Raksat.
Villegas, who won a bronze medal in the Paris Olympics last year and a previous bronze in the SEA Games, started the match aggressively.
