Affidavit submitted to DOJ in Atong Ang murder complaint

A respondent in a separate case involving missing cockfighters has submitted an affidavit to the Department of Justice (DOJ) to support a murder complaint filed against businessman Charlie "Atong" Ang and other individuals.

The affidavit was presented during the second preliminary investigation hearing for the kidnapping, serious illegal detention, and multiple murder complaint against Ang and his co-respondents.

Prosecutor Charlie Guhit confirmed the submission of the affidavit, mentioning Gleer Codilla as one of the witnesses who provided sworn statements.

Guhit clarified that being a respondent in a related case does not prevent an individual from submitting an affidavit in support of the complaint.

He further explained that individuals like Codilla and Patidongan can act as both witnesses and respondents simultaneously in these proceedings.
