AboitizPower units distribute 1,000+ relief packs in Cebu after quake

Aboitiz Power Corporation's business units in Cebu have launched extensive relief operations to aid families and communities affected by the recent 6.9-magnitude earthquake.

Visayan Electric Company, in collaboration with the Aboitiz Foundation, distributed over a thousand relief packs containing essential supplies like clean water, food, and hygiene kits to Bogo City and the municipalities of Medellin, Daanbantayan, and San Remigio.

Anton Perdices, AboitizPower SVP and COO of the Distribution Business Group, emphasized the company's commitment to the 'bayanihan spirit' and supporting community recovery efforts.

Visayan Electric is also actively involved in reenergization initiatives within its service area and is coordinating with the Philippine Red Cross and local government units.

Therma Visayas, Inc., operator of the Toledo City baseload power plant, donated 1,000 relief packs to the local governments of Bogo City, Daanbantayan, and Medellin.

The relief goods from Therma Visayas included drinking water, biscuits, noodles, coffee, and blankets, and their distribution was facilitated by the Toledo City Government.

Residents from host barangays in Toledo City volunteered their time to assist in repacking the donated relief goods.
