Aboitiz Power distributes over 9,000 relief packs to earthquake-hit families in Cebu

Aboitiz Power Corporation's business units in Cebu have distributed over 9,000 relief packs, including essential supplies like clean water, food, and hygiene kits, to families affected by the recent 6.9-magnitude earthquake.

The company's aid, amounting to P2.7 million, also included 93,681 liters of water, 3,815 food packs, and 2,115 non-food items distributed to affected communities.

More than 300 employees volunteered their time to pack and distribute the aid, demonstrating the 'bayanihan spirit' despite personal impact from the tremor.

Aboitiz Power's Therma Visayas Inc. plant has its generating units back online and supplying power to the Visayas grid after completing safety inspections.

Visayan Electric is actively reenergizing its service area and coordinating with the Philippine Red Cross and local government units.

The Aboitiz Group collaborated with agencies such as the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, the Philippine Red Cross, and the Philippine Coast Guard for efficient aid delivery.
