6 more senatorial bets file SOCEs

As of Thursday, six more senatorial candidates submitted their Statements of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCEs) to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

These latest filers include former Defense chief Norberto Gonzales, vlogger-doctor Willie Ong, ACT-Teachers Representative France Castro, Senator-elect Vicente Sotto III, lawyer Angelo de Alisan, and Jerome Adonis.

Former Executive Secretary Victor Rodriguez had previously filed his SOCE on May 23.

Six party-list groups, namely Manila Teachers, Angat, ACT-Teachers, Nanay, Buhay, and Kabayan, along with the Akay National Party, have also filed their SOCEs.

The deadline for all candidates, political parties, and party-list groups to submit their SOCEs is June 11, with Comelec emphasizing that no extensions will be granted.

Failure to submit SOCEs can result in administrative charges or permanent disqualification from holding public office.

Submissions are accepted on weekdays and Saturdays, including holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and must include both hard and soft copies in PDF and Excel formats.

Submissions via registered mail, electronic mail, courier, or messenger services are not permitted.
