390 French, European tourists repatriated from PH

The French government successfully repatriated 390 French and other European tourists from the Philippines on Thursday.

This was the second sweeper flight organized by the French Embassy to bring home citizens stranded due to the COVID-19 lockdown.

A Qatar Airways plane facilitated the flight, picking up tourists from Cebu and Manila before heading to Paris.

The French Embassy expressed gratitude to the Philippine government, including the Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Tourism, and Department of Transportation, for their assistance in this operation.

A previous flight on March 24 and 25 had already repatriated 406 French nationals, bringing the total number of repatriated French citizens to 796 through these two special flights.
