380 families evacuated in Cagayan Valley due to heavy rains

Around 380 families or 1,033 individuals in Isabela, Cagayan, and Quirino were evacuated due to continuous rainfall causing swollen rivers and impassable roads and bridges.

Rescuers preemptively evacuated families in low-lying areas as intermittent heavy rains caused rivers to swell anew.

The cold frontal system brought continuous rains, leading residents to seek higher grounds or evacuation centers due to wariness from previous typhoons.

Governor Manuel Mamba stated that residents are better prepared now due to the phobia and lessons learned from Typhoon Ulysses.

The Cagayan River's water levels are being closely monitored by local officials.

Affected areas include Tuguegarao City and towns in Isabela such as Cabatuan, Luna, San Isidro, and San Mateo.
