31 countries lift travel restrictions for Filipinos

Thirty-one countries have lifted inbound border restrictions for Filipino travelers, as reported by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

These countries, which are part of a larger list of 177 nations/territories worldwide, now permit Filipinos to enter subject to existing medical protocols.

The DFA's updated infographics indicate that Bahamas, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are among the nations that have recently opened their borders to Filipinos.

However, 68 countries/territories still maintain restrictions on entry for Filipinos, including Cuba, Haiti, Palau, Timor Leste, and France.

Approximately 78 countries/territories, despite closed borders, offer entry exemptions to Filipinos who are citizens of the destination country, returning residents, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) with valid work visas, and diplomatic or UN passport holders.

Macau SAR is noted as a new addition to the list of countries allowing entry with imposed medical protocols.

Additionally, the DFA confirmed that 138 countries now permit Filipinos to return to the Philippines, contingent on flight availability and other special arrangements.
