PNP officers hailed for protecting MMDA official from protesters

The National Police Commission (Napolcom) has commended three police officers, Maj. Joseph Robles, M/Sgt. Juan Paolo del Mundo, and Pat. Jordan Gallardo, for protecting MMDA Special Operations Group Strike Force head Gabriel Go from protesters.

The incident occurred when Go was issuing tickets to drivers holding a rally at the corner of Connecticut Street and EDSA in San Juan City on Wednesday.

Tensions escalated as members of the drivers' group Manibela approached Go, leading to a confrontation.

The three officers from the Eastern Police District intervened swiftly, preventing the rallyists from harming Go.

Napolcom Commissioner Rafael Vicente Calinisan stated that the officers managed the situation with composure and professionalism, ensuring no bodily harm came to Go.

Calinisan presented plaques of commendation to the officers, highlighting their dedication and the PNP's commitment to public service.
