3 arrested for kidnapping, killing of businessman and driver

Three suspects, including a Chinese national named David Tan Liao, are in Philippine National Police custody for the kidnapping and killing of businessman Anson Que and his driver Armanie Pabillo.

Liao surrendered to the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group and confessed his involvement, while accomplices Ricardo David and Raymart Catequista were arrested in Palawan.

Que and Pabillo were reported missing on March 29 and their bodies were discovered in Rodriguez, Rizal on April 10.

The Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) appreciates the PNP's progress but is pushing for the arrest of the two remaining Chinese nationals believed to be principal suspects.

FFCCCII president Victor Lim stated that law enforcement agencies met with the group to strengthen cooperation in fighting crime, including dialogues with the PNP chief, Justice Secretary, NBI Director, and Bureau of Immigration deputy commissioner.

PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil stated the crime was planned months in advance.

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian commended the PNP for its swift action in arresting the initial suspects.
