Air Force reservists aid 7,500 families in Bulacan

Thousands of families in Bulacan, comprising over 7,500 individuals from Calumpit and Hagonoy, were aided by a humanitarian relief mission led by the 2nd Air Force Wing Reserve (2nd AFWR) on Thursday, July 24.

Evacuees, particularly from the heavily affected Barangays San Juan and San Isidro in Hagonoy, were relocated to evacuation centers like Calumpit National High School.

The relief operations were spearheaded by Lt. Col. Mikee Romero, chairman of the Association of Reservists and Reservist Administrators of the Philippines Inc. (ARRAPI), who coordinated the rescue and relocation efforts.

Two Philippine Air Force 6x6 trucks were deployed to support the ground rescue operations.

The mission, which included the distribution of food and basic necessities, is ongoing, with Romero vowing to continue monitoring critical areas.

Romero lauded the bravery and dedication of the reservists and volunteers involved in the swift and selfless response.
