27 more CIW inmates test positive for COVID-19

Twenty-seven more female inmates at the Correctional Institute for Women (CIW) have tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the total to 47.

Bureau of Corrections spokesman Gabriel Chaclag stated that the infected inmates are receiving necessary medical care, including vitamins and food supplements.

He also emphasized the security measures in place within the NBP quarantine facility, noting its expansive area and compartmentalized buildings with barriers and locks.

Alcohol, soap, and disinfectants have been distributed to the inmates.
