27 dead as Habagat, 3 cyclones hit PH

The death toll from the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and tropical cyclones Mirasol, Nando, and Opong has increased to 27, with 23 fatalities still awaiting validation and four confirmed.

The number of reported injuries remains at 33, while the count of missing persons has risen to 16, all of whom are currently undergoing validation.

A total of 906,794 families, comprising 3,420,391 individuals, have been affected by the weather disturbances.

Over 30,000 families sought shelter in 1,607 evacuation centers, with an additional 22,771 families receiving assistance outside these centers.

The previous summary mentioned 2,606 stranded passengers and 8,916 damaged houses, with agricultural damage exceeding P1 million, but these figures were not updated in the latest report.
