24 OJT cops in Angeles City test positive for COVID-19

A total of 24 on-the-job training police personnel in Angeles City have tested positive for COVID-19.

These rookie police officers have been undergoing training at the Regional Special Training Unit 3 (RSTU3) within the Clark Freeport Zone.

Their swab test results from the Philippine National Red Cross were released on Wednesday.

The infected personnel are currently admitted at the Clark ASEAN Convention Center for medical treatment.

In response, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. has instructed the City Health Office to conduct massive rapid testing in all police precincts.

Contact tracing has also been initiated to prevent further spread of the virus.

All personnel of the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) are confined to their respective stations while testing is underway.
