233 NCR areas under granular lockdown

A total of 233 areas in the National Capital Region are currently under granular lockdown, a decrease from the previous 239.

These lockdown areas are located in 148 barangays and include houses, streets, residential buildings, and subdivisions.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has deployed 733 personnel and 791 force multipliers to enforce health protocols in these zones.

The PNP reported that 144 houses, 34 residential building floors, 23 streets, 17 subdivisions, and 14 residential buildings are among the locked-down areas.

Local government units (LGUs) decide on the imposition and lifting of granular lockdowns, with a single COVID-19 case sufficient for a house or condominium floor lockdown, and at least two cases needed for a street lockdown.
