JPGT 2025 season offers world amateur ranking points

The 2025 Junior Philippine Golf Tour (JPGT) season, which begins on April 8 at Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in Cavite, now offers world amateur ranking points for young golfers.

This expanded 15-leg tour, organized by Pilipinas Golf Tournaments Inc., is a WAGR-recognized event designed to provide international recognition and global benchmarking for players.

The tour concludes with the North vs South Elite Finals from September 30 to October 2 at The Country Club, featuring three age divisions: 7-10, 11-14, and 15-18.

Notable competitors in the boys' 15-18 division include Shinichi Suzuki and Charles Serdenia, who are also set to compete in an annual San Diego event in July.

Other elite players joining the boys' 15-18 division are Alonso Espartero, Alonso Corpus, John Paul Agustin Jr., and Kristoffer Nadales.

In the girls' 15-18 bracket, Precious Zaragosa, Tiffany Bernardino, Rafa Anciano, and Jada Santiago are expected to compete.

The Sarines twins, Lisa and Mona, will face Arielle Espartero and Eliana Dumalaog in the girls' 11-14 division, while Vito Sarines and Race Manhit lead the boys' 11-14 division.

Promising players Venus delos Santos and Mavis Espedido headline the girls' 7-10 division, with Jesus Yambao and Zoji Edoc leading the boys' 7-10 division.

To ensure balanced regional representation, the series is split into North and VisMin legs, with players restricted to competing in their region of residence or birthplace.

The North Series continues with subsequent legs at Sherwood Hills and Splendido Taal in late April.
