18 Filipinos in Shanghai test positive for COVID-19

Eighteen Filipinos in Shanghai, China have tested positive for COVID-19.

Of these, five have recovered and been discharged.

The Philippine Consulate General in Shanghai is monitoring all affected Filipinos and has their contact details.

Although they cannot directly provide assistance in quarantine facilities and hospitals, the consulate will continue to provide food assistance.

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration is offering an additional $200 to those infected.

Some Filipinos in Shanghai have expressed intentions to return to the Philippines but are hindered by travel restrictions.
