17 higher education institutions to serve as vax sites

Seventeen higher education institutions have agreed to provide their facilities as vaccination sites for the government's COVID-19 inoculation program, with an additional 20 expressing willingness to participate.

CHED Chairperson Prospero de Vera III stated that having more vaccination facilities is beneficial for the program's expansion.

Most of the participating institutions are located in Metro Manila.

The specific arrangements for using these facilities will be determined through negotiations between the educational institutions and their respective local government units.

The target is to finalize these agreements within April, in anticipation of significant vaccine arrivals in May.

A draft agreement has already been circulated to the interested colleges and universities.
