150 homeless repack 3,000 relief packages for urban poor

Around 150 homeless individuals, temporarily housed in De La Salle University facilities, volunteered to repack over 3,000 relief packages for Metro Manila's urban poor.

The relief items and personal protective equipment used in the repacking were provided by the Philippine Business for Social Progress, and all packages were sanitized before dispatch.

This initiative is a collaboration between De La Salle Philippines and the Divine Word Missionaries.

De La Salle Philippines President Br. Armin Luistro, FSC announced that all 16 La Salle campuses will soon be available as temporary shelters.

De La Salle-CSB emphasized the importance of unity during these times, stating, "During these extraordinary times, let us get together in the ways that we can and reach out to the last, the least, and the lost."

Donations of items such as toiletries, clothing, and first-aid supplies, as well as financial contributions, are being accepted to support this effort.
