DOH: Over 11.3M Filipinos fully vaccinated against COVID-19
More than 11.3 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of August 8, the Department of Health (DOH) reported.
This means that 11,391,969 individuals have completed their vaccination, while 13,087,781 have received at least one dose.
Among the fully vaccinated, 1,730,762 are health workers, 3,318,212 are senior citizens, 4,244,272 are persons with comorbidities, 1,734,089 are essential workers, and 364,634 are indigents.
A total of 24,479,750 vaccine doses have been administered nationwide.
In Metro Manila, 5.37 million individuals have received at least one dose and 3.927 million have been fully vaccinated as of August 8.
Authorities plan to accelerate COVID-19 vaccination efforts in the capital region during its two-week enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
