1,100 athletes join historic Damosa Land 5150 Triathlon in Samal Island

The inaugural Damosa Land 5150 Triathlon on Sunday is poised to showcase Mindanao, particularly Samal Island, as a globally competitive destination.

With over 1,100 athletes from across the Philippines and other countries, including Australia, Japan, Colombia, France and the United States, this inaugural 5150 event has already made history as the largest first-time 5150 race in the country.

The triathlon features a 1.5-kilometer swim, a 40-kilometer bike ride, and a 10-kilometer run, highlighting Samal's natural beauty and local culture.

Damosa Land Inc. president Ricardo Floirendo Lagdameo stated that the event aims to create a ripple effect of progress, supporting tourism, hospitality, local businesses, and grassroots development.

Bridgeport, Damosa Land's marine lifestyle development, will serve as the main venue, emphasizing Samal's potential as a world-class destination.

Organized by Sunrise Events Inc., the official licensee of the IRONMAN brand in the Philippines, the event is held in partnership with Damosa Land Inc.
