11 new Covid-19 cases in Tarlac, 8 are police personnel

Tarlac province recorded 11 new cases of Covid-19, with eight of them being police personnel.

These new cases increase the total confirmed Covid-19 cases in Tarlac to 113, with 57 active cases.

The eight police officers had been exposed to a colleague who previously tested positive for the virus.

The affected police personnel underwent swab tests on August 2 and received their positive results on August 5.

Seven of these police officers will be quarantined in New Clark City, while one will be admitted to a district hospital in Moncada.

Previously, on August 2, three police officers and one non-uniformed personnel from the Bamban Police Station were also confirmed infected.

Another new case is a 45-year-old female who had close contact with a known Covid-19 patient and is currently confined in a private hospital.
