E. Visayas records 30 new cases; W. Visayas tally reaches 857

Eastern Visayas reported 30 new coronavirus cases, bringing the region's total to 725.

Of these, 18 are from Leyte and seven from Samar.

Western Visayas recorded 47 new confirmed cases, increasing its total to 857.

In Western Visayas, 506 patients have recovered from Covid-19, accounting for 62% of the region's total confirmed cases.

The number of recoveries in Western Visayas now exceeds active cases at 413 recoveries and 336 active cases.
