Rep Chua handles Articles 2 and 3 in VP Duterte's impeachment

House of Representatives prosecutors have been assigned specific Articles of Impeachment for the trial against Vice President Sara Duterte.

Representative Joel Chua will handle Articles 2 and 3, which focus on alleged misuse of confidential funds and bribery involving 'ghost expenses' and cash envelopes distributed to high-ranking officials.

The 11-member House prosecution team is now dividing among themselves the seven articles of impeachment, with each prosecutor studying potential legal issues.

Manila 3rd district Rep. Joel Chua confirmed Monday that multiple prosecutors will handle Article 2 and three will handle Article 3, although full details are yet to be finalized.

Article 5 centers on extrajudicial killings during the Duterte administration's war on drugs, with concerns about a possible warrant of arrest from the International Criminal Court affecting the trial if Vice President Duterte is involved in EJK cases.
