VP Sara Duterte defies probes on plot claim

Vice President Sara Duterte reiterated on Wednesday that she has no regrets about revealing an alleged plot to kill President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., asserting that her death would not be in vain.

Despite facing investigations by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and complaints from the Philippine National Police, Duterte expressed peace with whatever may happen to her.

The NBI issued a second subpoena for Duterte on Wednesday but she was represented by her lawyer Paul Lim who submitted a letter denying her appearance.

Duterte said that she does not expect fairness in the investigation due to what she perceives as bias from the President's statements regarding criminal activities.

Two impeachment complaints have been filed against her in the House of Representatives, one for alleged corruption and another for misuse of confidential funds.
