VP Sara Duterte travels to Japan, The Hague ahead of father's ICC hearing

Vice President Sara Duterte plans to travel to Japan ahead of her father's confirmation of charges hearing at the International Criminal Court (ICC) on September 23-26.

Duterte confirmed she will attend a Filipino community event in Japan from September 20-21, as previously announced.

The vice president is also scheduled to visit The Hague from September 19-24 for another gathering of Filipinos and to support her father's case.

Sara Duterte has been traveling globally to garner support for Rodrigo Duterte and engage with overseas Filipino communities.

Her office states that these trips are part of her mandate to advocate for the welfare of all Filipinos, both domestically and abroad.

The ICC Pre-Trial Chamber will determine if there is sufficient evidence for a trial during Rodrigo Duterte's hearing from September 23-26.
