VP Sara Duterte honors modern-day heroes on National Heroes Day

Vice President Sara Duterte honored modern-day heroes on Monday, recognizing teachers, health workers, soldiers, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), and ordinary citizens for their sacrifices.

In her National Heroes Day message, Duterte highlighted the bravery of Filipinos who fought for the country's freedom and urged today's generation to be inspired by their courage and unity.

The Vice President praised the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for daily risking their lives to ensure community safety and commended teachers, doctors, nurses, and frontline workers for serving the people with dedication.

Duterte expressed gratitude to OFWs for supporting their families and the Philippine economy through their sacrifices and perseverance, emphasizing the resilience of Filipinos in overcoming challenges.

She concluded her message by calling on all Filipinos to continue loving and serving the country, stressing that every Filipino has the power to change the course of their lives and nation.
