Villar inaugurates 12-story addition to LPGH & STC, expanding bed capacity to 500

On Monday, March 17, Senator Cynthia A. Villar inaugurated a new building for the Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center (LPGH & STC), along with a new access road.

The 12-story addition was mandated by Republic Act No. 11497, expanding LPGH & STC's capacity from 200 to 500 beds and improving healthcare services for residents of Las Piñas and nearby areas in southern Manila and Cavite.

A 220-meter road along the river drive provides permanent access to health facilities, initially used during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Senator Villar emphasized that the expansion aims to ensure regular healthcare services are not disrupted in future crises, highlighting the importance of upgrading public hospitals and health facilities.

The new hospital building also upgrades professional health care services and increases its workforce, including doctors, nurses, and support staff.
