Filipino Sofronio Vasquez wins The Voice USA

Sofronio Vasquez was declared the winner of The Voice USA on Tuesday night, December 10 (Wednesday, December 11 in the Philippines), marking a historic moment for Filipino talent.

Vasquez's victory is significant as he becomes the first Asian and Filipino to win the competition after 26 seasons, earning him $100,000 and a record deal with Universal Music Group.

Canadian singer Michael Bublé expressed overwhelming pride in his coachee, hugging Vasquez tightly after his name was called as the winner.

Vasquez thanked Filipino supporters for their support and emphasized that winning is about representation of one's country and faith.

Gary Valenciano, a judge from 'Tawag ng Tanghalan' where Vasquez competed in 2019, praised his growth as an artist since then.
