V-League expands to Visayas, USC and USPF lead collegiate teams

The V-League, the country's first amateur volleyball tournament, is expanding into the Visayas region.

University of San Carlos (USC), defending CESAFI champions, and University of Southern Philippines Foundation Inc. (USPF), runners-up, will compete alongside other top collegiate teams such as University of Cebu (UC), University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R), University of the Philippines-Cebu (UP-Cebu), and Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U).

Sports Vision Management Group Inc.'s president Richard Palou emphasized the importance of this expansion to support CESAFI tournaments and provide more opportunities for local players.

V-League Visayas commissioner Ken Ucang highlighted the region's significant contribution to national volleyball talent, stating that it is crucial to give these athletes a platform to showcase their skills.

The tournament aims to boost volleyball in the Visayas by offering additional platforms for players to demonstrate their talents.
