Nic Cabañero and Forthsky Padrigao extend contract with Zamboanga Valientes

Nic Cabañero and Forthsky Padrigao from the UST Growling Tigers will play together for another year in the Dubai International Basketball Championship with Zamboanga Valientes.

Cabañero expressed gratitude to the team, its management, and coaches during a media availability event on Tuesday in Mandaluyong City, highlighting the opportunity to improve his career and learn from experienced teammates.

The duo aims to enhance their on-court chemistry during the tournament from January 24 to February 2, which they see as crucial for furthering their skills and teamwork ahead of their final UAAP season at UST.

Joining Cabañero and Padrigao are former UAAP MVP Malick Diouf, import Sam Deguara, and several ex-PBA players including Kyt Jimenez and Prince Caperal.

Cabañero emphasized his readiness to play any role the coaches assign him during the tournament.

The Zamboanga Valientes will face Sharjah SC in their opening game on January 25 at 11 pm Manila time as part of Group B.
