US commits early delivery of Pfizer, Moderna or J&J vaccines by May

US State Department has committed to early delivery of Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines to the Philippines by May.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. disclosed this information during a House of Representatives briefing.

Galvez received the news from Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez, who met with officials at the State Department and White House.

The Philippines is already expecting an initial batch of 194,000 doses of Moderna’s vaccine by May.

In addition to the previously ordered 30 million doses, another 5 million doses of Moderna vaccines will be delivered.
