UP women's team maintains unbeaten record

The University of the Philippines (UP) women's basketball team maintained their unbeaten record on Saturday, October 14, by defeating the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in overtime, winning 73-69.

Louna Ozar tied the game at 63-all late in regulation, forcing extra time where UP outscored UST 6-3 to secure the victory with key contributions from Christie Bariquit and Kaye Pesquera who each scored 17 points.

Earlier in the week on October 11, UP also won a closely contested match against Far Eastern University (FEU) with a score of 64-61, continuing their perfect record of 5-0 in the UAAP Season 86 women's basketball tournament.

Louna Ozar led UP with 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals, while Christie Bariquit added 11 points and seven rebounds, and Kaye Pesquera contributed 10 points, four rebounds, and three assists.
