UP releases UPCAT results: 17,996 qualify out of 135,236 applicants

The University of the Philippines (UP) released the UPCAT results for Academic Year 2025-2026 on Tuesday, April 22.

Approximately 13% or 17,996 applicants out of 135,236 who took the test have qualified for admission; some are granted degree programs while others remain on a waitlist.

Successful applicants must confirm acceptance by May 31, 2025, and follow registration instructions from their respective campuses; non-qualifiers can view their University Predicted Grade (UPG) which combines high school academic performance and UPCAT scores.

The results are now available through the UPCAT 2025 results portal at https://upcat2025results.up.edu.ph/, using the same login credentials applicants used during the application period.

This year's results highlight a shift toward greater inclusivity, with public school students making up 55% of those accepted and first-generation college students doubling from 6.6% to 13%. UP is expanding its Lingap Iskolar Program to provide financial and mentoring support to underserved communities.
