University of Batangas secures playoff spot with big win over PWU

University of Batangas maintained its playoff hopes with a dominant 100-71 victory over the Philippine Women's University in the UCAL-PGFlex Linoleum 7th Season at Paco Arena on Monday, March 17.

John Paul Mendy, a foreign student athlete, led the Brahmans with an impressive 32-point performance and 12 rebounds, shooting 12-of-16 from the field.

The Brahmans established a commanding 55-35 halftime lead and extended their advantage to a final score of 30-11 in the fourth quarter.

With this win, University of Batangas secured an 8-5 record, tying with Diliman College, Manila Central University, Immaculada Concepcion College, and defending champion Centro Escolar University for the semifinals spots.

Centro Escolar University also remained competitive by defeating ICC Bluehawks with a score of 96-79, showcasing Israel Friday's outstanding performance of 42 points and 29 rebounds.
