Rachel Anne Daquis returns to PVL after 551-day break

Rachel Anne Daquis made her return to the Philippine Volleyball League (PVL) after a 551-day hiatus, playing for Farm Fresh against Galeries Tower on Thursday.

Daquis contributed one point as Trisha Tubu scored a career-high 33 points, leading Farm Fresh to victory with a score of 28-26, 25-17, 19-25, 25-17.

The 37-year-old veteran emphasized her role in guiding younger players like Tubu and setting an example through leadership rather than physical prowess.

During her break from the league, Daquis focused on her bakery business in Spain before signing with Farm Fresh last October.

Daquis acknowledged that she is still working towards regaining her top form but remains confident in her ability to contribute effectively based on timing and strategy.
