Tropical Depression Isang disrupts nine flights, affects 1,019 passengers

On Friday, Tropical Depression Isang caused disruptions to nine flights in the Philippines due to adverse weather conditions.

Cebu Pacific canceled six round-trip flights between Manila and destinations such as Tuguegarao and Cauayan, while PAL Express and CebGo diverted two flights back to Manila.

Specifically, CAAP reported that Cebu Pacific canceled flights CEB506, CEB507, CEB508, CEB509, CEB196, and CEB197, while PAL Express diverted GAP2957 and GAP2963, and CebGo redirected SRQ6068 back to their departure points.

The disrupted flights affected 1,019 passengers in total.

Passengers are advised to contact their airlines for updates on flight information and rebooking concerns.

Isang made landfall in Casiguran, Aurora at 9:50 a.m. on Friday, prompting PAGASA to issue Wind Signal No. 1 for 16 provinces in Northern and Central Luzon.

Several local governments have also suspended classes due to the bad weather.
