Tropical Depression Aghon raises TC Signal No. 1 in 20 areas, Marcos visits Brunei, Singapore

Tropical Depression Aghon slightly strengthened, prompting the state weather agency Pagasa to raise Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 1 in 20 areas across the country on Friday.

Pagasa reported that Aghon was last spotted about 135 kilometers east northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will visit Brunei and Singapore from May 28 to 31, where he is expected to discuss issues surrounding the West Philippine Sea in his speech for the International Institute For Strategic Studies (IISS) Shangri-La Dialogue.

During a trip in Mindanao to distribute aid to communities affected by El Niño, Marcos met with troops to reaffirm his commitment against government destabilization efforts.
