Dennis Trillo donates P100K MMFF prize to PDL

Dennis Trillo has donated the P100,000 cash prize he received from Playtime as a sponsor of the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) for Best Actor to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

Jan Enriquez, Dennis's road manager, revealed on Facebook that Jennylyn Mercado suggested donating the prize money instead of keeping it.

JC Rubio, a senior program manager for I-Witness and Kara Docs, was tasked with distributing the funds to support the Tree of Hope project at a PDL facility.

The post received praise from Nessa Valdellon, GMA Pictures Senior Vice President, who thanked Dennis for his generosity.

'Green Bones,' directed by Raul Sunico, also won five other awards including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor for Ruru Madrid.
