Tiangco confirms Villar remains in Alyansa Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas

Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco confirmed on Monday, April 14, that Deputy Speaker Camille Villar remains a member of Alyansa Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas despite receiving an endorsement from Vice President Sara Duterte and circulating photos with her.

Tiangco assured that the five-party coalition including Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), Lakas-CMD, National People's Coalition (NPC), National Unity Party (NUP), and Nacionalista Party (NP) remains intact despite recent developments.

He emphasized that every endorsement contributes to their political alliance's growth and welcomed support from both national and local levels, noting the coalition includes former Senate President Vicente Sotto III, Benhur Abalos, Panfilo Lacson, Manny Pacquiao, Pia Cayetano, Lito Lapid, Bong Revilla, Francis Tolentino, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, and House Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.

Tiangco highlighted that the coalition is being strengthened by a growing wave of grassroots support in addition to traditional alliances, emphasizing the importance of every bit of support for their shared vision of 'Bagong Pilipinas'.

The campaign manager noted that each candidate was carefully selected based on their skills and experience, with the overarching objective of electing leaders who are capable, committed, and deserving of public trust.

Despite appearing to appeal to both Marcos and Duterte voter bases, Villar maintains her position within the coalition, stressing the importance of staying true to their campaign goals.
