Thailand's Opal Suchata Chuangsri crowned Miss World 2025, Philippines' Krishnah Gravidez finishes Top 8

Thailand's Opal Suchata Chuangsri was crowned Miss World 2025 during the coronation night at the HITEX Exhibition Center in Hyderabad, India on Saturday, May 31.

Philippine representative Krishnah Gravidez achieved a Top 8 finish and was named Miss World Asia; she expressed her pride for Opal on Instagram, calling her journey an inspiration.

Chuangsriv won the title from her predecessor, Krystyna Pyszková of Slovakia, who had won the crown a year earlier in Mumbai.

The competition saw Suchata Chuangsri emerge victorious over 107 other contestants; she is now Thailand's first Miss World winner and previously held third runner-up at Miss Universe 2024 before losing her title due to a breach of contract.

Gravidez dedicated her journey to all Filipinos with the message 'Para sa inyo. Para sa bansa. Para sa lahat ng nangangarap.'

Suchata, who turns 21 this year and is fluent in Thai, English, and Chinese, advocates for breast cancer awareness through her project 'Opal for Her', which collaborates with health organizations like the National Cancer Institute and Foundation for Cancer Care at Siriraj Hospital.
