Roque denies involvement with POGO firm in Porac

Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) chairman Alejandro Tengco revealed that former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque lobbied for a POGO firm in Porac, Pampanga in July 2023.

Tengco stated during the Senate inquiry that Roque accompanied Katherine Cassandra Li Ong to discuss unpaid taxes worth around US$500,000 and requested a reapplication of Lucky South 99's license due to expire in October.

Roque denied being a legal counsel for Lucky South 99 but Tengco noted the firm submitted an organizational chart listing Roque as head of their legal team during the renewal application.

Tengco emphasized that Roque should confront Ong about why his name was included on the organizational chart and questioned whether he consented to it.

Roque maintained in a press statement that he neither consented nor knew about his inclusion in Lucky South's PAGCOR submissions, clarifying he only accompanied Ong out of accommodation.
