Taylor Swift named IFPI Global Recording Artist of the Year for fifth time

Taylor Swift has been named the IFPI Global Recording Artist of the Year for 2024 for the fifth time, marking her unprecedented third consecutive year in this category.

K-pop acts Seventeen and Stray Kids secured third and fifth positions respectively on the IFPI's Global Artist Chart 2024, while rapper Drake came in second.

IFPI CEO Victoria Oakley praised Swift for her continued global success and noted the significant connection fans worldwide have with her music.

Swift's recent milestone came two months after the conclusion of 'The Eras Tour,' which spanned 149 shows from March 2023 to December 2024, including stops in the UK, Singapore, Japan, Australia, and France.
