Carl Tamayo leads Sakers to victory over Daegu

Filipino guard Carl Tamayo led the Changwon LG Sakers to an 85-81 victory over the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus in Sunday's Korean Basketball League (KBL) game, marking a return to winning ways for the Sakers.

Tamayo scored 19 points on an 8-of-14 shooting and contributed two rebounds and one assist, extending his streak of double-digit games to three.

His strong performance helped Changwon build a significant 58-35 lead in the third quarter, which was enough to secure their win despite Daegu's late-game push.

Assem Marei also had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds, providing crucial support for Tamayo.

SJ Belangel led the Pegasus' effort with 17 points, four rebounds, and six assists while Andrew Nicholson posted an impressive 35 points and 12 rebounds.
