Talion prepares for second leg of Luzon Series golf tour

Levonne Talion, who recently won a dramatic match against Rafa Anciano in the ICTSI Junior Philippine Golf Tour's first leg at Eagle Ridge, is preparing for the second leg of the seven-stage Luzon Series set to begin on Tuesday, April 22, at Sherwood Hills Golf Club.

Talion aims to repeat her victory from the previous event where she overcame an eight-stroke deficit before defeating Anciano in sudden death. The upcoming competition will be a 54-hole event organized by Pilipinas Golf Tournaments Inc.

Anciano seeks redemption after his loss and is joined by other top contenders like Lisa Sarines and Ryuji Suzuki who won their respective categories in the season opener.

The field includes emerging talents such as Ma. Althea Banez, Arielle Espartero, Keira Que, Stella Pallasigui, Kendra Garingalao, Eliana Dumalaog, Mona Sarines, Vito Sarines, Matthias Espinas, Rafael Hernandez, Kai Abaya, Jacob Casuga, Mavis Espedido, Athena Serapio, Amiya Tablac, Tyra Garingalao, Penelope Sy, Zoji Edoc, Michael Hortel, Halo Pangilinan, Harvey Hernandez, Hugo Pallasigui, Jeremiah Tan, Alexian Ching, Patrick Tambalque, Jose Carlos Taruc, Zach Villaroman, Gabriel Handog, Alonso Corpus, and John Paul Agustin Jr.

The tournament offers valuable ranking points for players in the 15-18 category who are competing for World Amateur Golf Ranking recognition. Players must compete in at least three legs of either the Luzon or VisMin series to qualify for the season-ending North vs South Elite Junior Finals.
